Permanent TSB

Suicide or Survive is delighted to have been chosen by the staff at Permanent TSB as one of their Charity Partners. Their support is invaluable to us – both through their fund-raising and the efforts they are putting into helping raising awareness of the issue.

Earlier this year, the staff at Permanent TSB choose Suicide or Survive to be one of two Charity Partners to work with across 2011 and 2012. We are lucky to work with some very committed, energetic and enthusiastic people who are putting together an exciting calendar of events to raise funds for our cause. So far this year, the staff have taken part in a table quiz, an Xfactor night, non-uniform days as well as running raffles for a variety of prizes such as match tickets and parking spaces. Some of the staff got involved in the Dublin Marathon and they have also held book sales and a Tag Rugby match!

Raising awareness of the issue of mental health is also key to the partnership and the committee at Permanent TSB have worked tirelessly to make their staff and customers aware of the work we do at SOS.

Commenting on the partnership, Caroline McGuigan, CEO at Suicide or Survive, said “I’d like to take the opportunity to thank Permanent TSB for choosing SOS to be their Charity Partner and I look forward to continuing to work closely with them as we move into 2012. I’m confident that the support of Permanent TSB and its staff will help us to reach an even wider section of the community.  Suicide or Survive can continue our much needed work because of the partnership as it will also provide additional funding to facilitate our ongoing work to break down the stigma associated with mental health issues that exists in Ireland today. ”
