Each year for the month of September – World Suicide Prevention month – SOS launches the National Tea Break nationwide, and this year we hope it will be bigger and better than ever! Over 100 of our wonderful, amazing supporters the length and breadth of Ireland hosted Tea Breaks last year, bringing the conversation about mental health alive, breaking down stigma and having all kinds of craic in the process!
We had Tea Breaks in community centres, kitchens, back yards, sports clubs, cafes, offices, colleges, gyms, and health centres – and the funds raised went straight into bringing our life changing and innovative programmes into communities and workplaces all over the country.
This year, we hope you’ll join us for a month of fun and laughter, tea and talk – and host a Tea Break of your own for SOS. Tea Breaks come in all shapes and sizes so how you host yours is entirely up to you – last year we had dinner parties, sporting events, garden parties, and even a psychic reading night as well as the much loved tea break, so the only limit is your imagination!
Getting registered as a host couldn’t be easier – just give Valerie or Jacqui a call at the office on 01 2722158 and have a chat about how to sign up.
